Poland has recently placed an invitation on the European Defence Standardization Information System (EDSIS) for nations to collaborate on the development of defence standards for water treatment.
The aim is to prepare dual-national standards, probably in Polish and English, which will cover:
The UK MOD Defence Standardization organisation (DStan) has been working closely with other nations to reduce the number of defence standards in the European market place, and one method being used is the introduction of dual-national defence standards which can be developed and endorsed by a number of nations.
Success has already been achieved with Germany, Britain and other nations cooperating in the development of (a) German VG 97000/UK Def Stan 68-118: De-icing and Anti-icing Fluid for Airfields and Flight Decks (b) UK Defence Standard 61-23: Generic Fuel Cell.
Now we are looking for relevant subject matter experts within UK MOD and Industry who are interested in working with Poland and other nations in the development of water treatment standards.
